The desert of Fraga, Aragón, Spain, is set to glow with a new wave of sound this summer as Monegros Desert Festival returns on Saturday, July 25, 2026. The organizers have announced an initial lineup of over 80 artists, with a complete roster expected to exceed 120 names, making this edition one of the most ambitious in the festival’s 33-year history.

The first wave of artists blends legends of global electronic music with the new voices shaping the scene today. Headliners include techno stalwarts Richie Hawtin, Amelie Lens, and Paco Osuna, each poised to lead 22 hours of uninterrupted rave beneath the desert sky. Alongside these icons, the lineup features cutting-edge acts such as Klangkuenstler, Indira Paganotto, and Fatima Hajji, ensuring a dense, high-intensity experience suitable for the brutal desert environment.

Looking beyond the headliners, the festival highlights a bold mix of hard and industrial techno through acts like Fantasm, Héctor Oaks, Adrián Mills, and the highly anticipated Brutalismus 3000. This year’s edition also spotlights new universes within electronic music, with concepts and collaborations designed to push the sonic envelope and redefine what a 22-hour desert rave can feel like.

Monegros 2026 introduces a centerpiece that the organizers call OUTWORLD, a 360º stage with a capacity of 20,000. It’s described as the crown jewel of the festival, promising an unprecedented audiovisual production as more than a dozen international artists are expected to perform in this monumental space.

The festival continues to push its signature formats and collaborations. 240 KM/H arrives with its Face to Face format, presenting a head-to-head clash between artists. Unreal returns with immersive staging designed to envelop attendees, while Awakenings contributes its renowned production quality from the Netherlands. ARTCORE, led by Indira Paganotto, brings a psytechno vision that has become a defining language for today’s techno.

The Arnau family emphasizes that Monegros is more than a lineup; it’s an experience of survival, freedom, and community. “We want the desert to become a city with a life of its own for 22 hours,” say founders Juan and Cruz Arnau. The organizers stress that the edition aims to surpass expectations both technically and artistically, building sonic territories within an ephemeral desert city.

With more than 50 additional artists to be announced in the coming weeks, infrastructure details, stage allocations, and attendee services will be revealed progressively. The festival organization also provides resources for press and media, along with a direct line for inquiries.

Founded in 1994 by the Arnau family, Monegros Desert Festival has grown into Europe’s largest desert rave, after a decade-long hiatus and a powerful revival in 2022. In its recent editions (2022–2024), the festival has drawn tens of thousands of attendees from dozens of countries, presenting an immersive cityscape with multiple stages, monumental production, and a commitment to experimentation and reinvention. The 2026 edition promises to continue that tradition, elevating the desert rave into an expansive, transformative experience.
