Opening aperitivo: Thursday 22 October 2026, from 6 pm — Showroom Between the Twigs, Via Santa Sofia 33, Milan

During Milano Jewellery Week 2026, the gallery and showroom Between the Twigs unveils “Mutamenti” (“Changes”), a new project dedicated to one of the most fascinating themes in contemporary jewellery: transformation.

“Mutamenti” interprets the jewel not as a finished, static object, but as a dynamic process — something in continuous evolution. The project explores transformation as the very essence of contemporary jewellery: materials that change state, forms that shift, meanings that evolve over time.

Through this lens, the works on display invite visitors to reflect on change as a natural condition — of objects, of the craft itself, and of the people who wear jewellery. Each piece becomes the visible trace of a journey, a moment captured within a perpetually moving process.

Aurona Ores | Tetide Entirely handmade, this unique pendant is signed and numbered. Limoges porcelain and platinum, applied in a third firing, preserve a story from 240 million years ago, when the Dolomites were a sunken tropical archipelago. A geological transformation that turned the ancient coral reefs into majestic UNESCO peaks — a line traced on the horizon that shapes the living form of the jewel.
Betta Splendens A ring that evokes the allure of the fighting fish, where the grace of its fins stands in contrast to its warrior nature. A dialogue between beauty and struggle, between apparent delicacy and indomitable strength. Silver 925 Ring
Richfree | L’Âme Océan | Veil of Thetis One-of-a-kind sculptural brooch, convertible into a pendant, paying homage to Thetis, sea goddess and primordial mother. A veiled nymph celebrates a woman who, like the ocean, flows and transforms endlessly. Category: artist jewellery, multifunctional brooch Materials: ceramic, clay, natural shell, antique 18th-century coral, Botswana agate, carnelian, baroque freshwater pearls, crystals, eco-leather Technique: mixed technique, hand-modelled sculptural bas-relief, mixed-assemblage setting
Limodoro | FLUTTI This turquoise beautifully embodies my idea of water, developed after I took up the practice of Taiji and the study of Chinese culture. Sea water that continuously changes form in its qualities of flowing, wave and whirlpool. AU 750 necklace with hand-engraved turquoise

To celebrate the launch of the project, Between the Twigs will host an aperitivo on Thursday 22 October from 6 pm at its showroom in Via Santa Sofia 33, located in Milan’s historic 5 Vie district, one of the city’s most charming areas for design and contemporary craft.

The opening event offers collectors, journalists, design enthusiasts and industry professionals the opportunity to discover the works up close, meet the makers and share an evening of conversation around the theme of transformation — all in the informal, welcoming atmosphere that has become a hallmark of Between the Twigs.

The project fits into the rich programme of Milano Jewellery Week 2026, the international event that each year brings contemporary jewellery, author jewellery and independent designers to the streets and galleries of Milan. With “Mutamenti”, Between the Twigs confirms its role as a reference point for research-driven jewellery — a place where the jewel is experienced as art, language and narrative.
