Of Matter and Time: Andrea Bertoletti’s Solo Exhibition at Galleria Quadrifoglio, Italy

The Galleria d’arte Quadrifoglio is pleased to present Della materia e del tempo (Of Matter and Time), a solo exhibition by Andrea Bertoletti, on view from October 3 to October 31. The opening reception will take place on Saturday, October 3 at 6:30 pm.

The exhibition arises from a body of research that intertwines memory, matter and transformation — the central elements of Bertoletti’s artistic practice. Starting from a deeply autobiographical dimension, the artist constructs a visual language in which reclaimed materials, natural elements and traces of everyday life become instruments for exploring time and the emotional bond we establish with objects, places, and everything we call our own.

In Bertoletti’s work, matter becomes the witness of a passage: it settles, is consumed, transforms, and preserves the traces of what once was. In the same way, memory never remains still — it stratifies, changes, and re-emerges through fragments, images and absences.

Of Matter and Time reflects on what endures and on what inevitably changes. Surfaces, forms and materials are transformed into places of memory, capable of giving visibility to what normally remains invisible: thoughts, recollections, relationships, fragility.

The works on display thus become emotional containers in which personal experience and collective memory meet, allowing to surface what time does not erase, but rather transforms.

Visitors are invited to experience an exhibition where material itself becomes narrative — a meditation on permanence and impermanence, and on the quiet ways in which the past continues to live within the present.
