New York, NY – This June, artist Kasia Muzyka brings her immersive solo exhibition The Sacred Condition of Being to Chelsea, offering a deeply intuitive and spiritually resonant body of work. On view from June 12–16, 2025, the exhibition invites visitors to experience art not just as an image, but as a living presence. Blending natural materials like wine, coffee, earth pigments, vibrational water, and egg tempera, Muzyka transforms painting into ritual. Her abstract works explore the cycles of becoming, the frequencies of love and consciousness, and the sacred tension between surrender and choice.
“I don’t create these paintings—I uncover them,” says Muzyka. “Each work is a portal, a presence, a memory waiting to be remembered.” Her process is intuitive, guided not by logic but by listening, embodying a deep curiosity about the invisible threads that shape both our inner and outer worlds.
In her Artist Statement, Muzyka reflects on the act of painting: “I don’t paint what is seen—I paint what stirs beneath. For me, abstraction is not a style, but a surrender. It is the act of reaching into space before waves collapse, where form is not yet fixed, where reality still shimmers in potential.” She emphasizes that each painting becomes a portal, echoing the emotions often forgotten yet deeply known.
The exhibition showcases key works such as Zero, a portal into pure potential and origin; Before First Breath, depicting the spirit preparing to take form; I and Ja, which acts as the sacred mirror of choice and self; and 100, representing the quantum moment of remembrance. Through layered symbolism and organic materials, Muzyka’s work seeks to dissolve the illusion of separation, ultimately inviting viewers to remember a deeper knowing with no name—a knowing that perhaps they have felt before.
Kasia Muzyka is a Polish-American artist based in Minneapolis, MN, born in 1977 in Lublin, Poland. Her work weaves mysticism, human nature, and transcendental philosophy with inquiries into quantum physics—offering layered visual expressions that explore the nature of existence, perception, and the unseen. As she states in her bio, “Today, Kasia paints to make the unseen visible. Her works are portals—expressions of remembrance, healing, and communion with the Heart.” Often centering feminine presence as a portal, she invites viewers into intimate encounters with their inner worlds.
Muzyka has exhibited nationally and internationally with solo shows including Inner Explorations at Gal Art in Minneapolis, MN, and the upcoming The Sacred Condition of Being in Manhattan, New York. Her work has appeared with Tyrrell Art Gallery, Dove Gallery, and in global charity auctions organized by Phoenix Opera and the Global Disaster Relief Team, among others.
Her art and voice have been featured in Vanity Fair, Arts to Hearts, Voyage Minnesota, New Visionary Magazine, and various podcasts, including New Visionary and Born to Create. Furthermore, Muzyka explores cross-disciplinary collaborations in fashion and music—such as cover designs for MiLarKey and founding Call2Love, a wearable art brand.
Kasia Muzyka’s exhibition runs daily from 10 AM to 6 PM at 522 West 19th Street, New York, NY. For more information, visit www.kasiamuzyka.com or follow her on Instagram at @kasiamuzyka.
