Novus Arte is thrilled to announce that its artists Fhatuwani Mukheli and Justice Mukheli will participate in the NOCK NOCK Art Fair 2026, taking place from March 5–8 at the Kromhouthal in Amsterdam. This marks a significant moment in the Mukheli brothers’ European exposure, as they gain increasing international recognition for their multidisciplinary practice.
A joint moment for two emerging voices. The NOCK NOCK presentation represents a pivotal moment for the Mukheli brothers within the European art scene. Fhatuwani and Justice Mukheli are celebrated for their rich, multidisciplinary practices that engage deeply with identity, memory, and Black urban experience from a South African perspective.
Fhatuwani Mukheli is a multidisciplinary visual artist from Soweto, Mukheli’s work draws on his childhood, family, and everyday life to explore African urban life, memory, and identity. His practice blends personal storytelling with broader cultural heritage, challenging stereotypes while celebrating Black identity with honesty and soul.
Justice Mukheli is another multidisciplinary artist from Soweto, Justice works across photography, painting, film, and performance. His practice places the body at the center of inquiry, examining the social, spiritual, and emotional dimensions of identity. His work often interrogates Black masculinity, faith, love, and memory, balancing tenderness with critical questioning.
