In the Protomoteca Hall, Highlighting Relations with Thailand, Japan, India, Vietnam, and China in Trade, Innovation, Culture, and Tourism

The event titled “The Capitoline Hill Meets Asia,” organized by the Italia Viva group of the Capitoline Assembly, brought together key representatives from Asia to explore opportunities for cooperation and dialogue. Initiated by Hon. Francesca Leoncini and in collaboration with the international agency Incandenza, the event took place in the iconic Protomoteca Hall, serving as a backdrop for discussions focused on trade, innovation, culture, and tourism in relation to Thailand, Japan, India, Vietnam, and China. The day moderated by Rai journalist Roberta Spinelli.

Key Message of Unity and Growth

The core message articulated at the event emphasized a collective vision: “Together, we look towards a future of growth, innovation, and shared progress. Asia represents an extraordinary cultural wealth and a powerful force of advancement.” This sentiment echoed throughout the discussions, highlighting the importance of establishing robust connections between Italy and the major economies of Asia, which are now recognized as established global players rather than emerging markets.

Francesca Leoncini, Capitoline Assembly councilor from Italia Viva and president of the project, stated, “In the most iconic hall of the Capitoline Hill, we unite prominent figures to reinforce the bond between Rome and the great Asian economies. This bond encompasses economic and cultural dimensions, and we aim to fortify it further. Our objective is to enhance existing relationships while creating new avenues for collaboration, connecting the best talents and expertise to establish a sustainable growth trajectory.”

Emphasizing Collaboration and Trust

Valerio Casini, also a Capitoline Assembly councilor from Italia Viva, elaborated on the future of collaboration: “Asia is a reservoir of cultural wealth and a significant driver of progress. Rome, a historical cradle of civilization, is now a modern metropolis open to new possibilities. This event is a valuable opportunity to deepen relationships, build networks, and strengthen collaboration between our nations, fostering friendships, concrete projects, and mutual growth.”
